NaLu: A Sweet Dream Oneshot

"Luuuucy!" Natsu called out.

He slammed open the front door with a big grin. Lucy, who was completely naked turned around with eyes wide.

"Natsuuu!" She screamed as she threw pillows at him. Happy laughed. "Pftt. Lucy you're naked." He teased. Lucy was bright red. "Natsu, at least cover your eyes!" She yelled as she kicked his face.

Natsu yelled out in pain. Lucy sighed. He is always like this. Surprising her out of nowhere. He just barges in. "Wait here." She said as she went to put on some pajamas. "Lucy." Natsu called out.

Lucy came out of the bathroom, with her pink pajamas on. "What is it?" She asked. Natsu blushed. Lucy looked completely adorable. Happy tilted his head. "Natsu? Ohohohoo~~ He's blushing." Happy teased. Natsu was offended and spouted out fire from his mouth in complete rage and embarrassment. Lucy chuckled. Natsu and Happy stopped fighting and stared at Lucy. "Geez." She blushed and smiled.

 Natsu's eyes widened and he returned with a big grin. Happy sighed. "They just need to realize their feelings. It's obvious they like each other." Happy thought. Lucy prepared her bed to sleep. "Hold on, I'm going to get some blankets." She said as she went to the closet.

 Right when Lucy turned around, Natsu and Happy were already knocked out on her bed. Lucy facepalmed and shook her fist in anger. "Come on!" She yelled. However, Natsu couldn't hear her, he was in a deep sleep. Lucy walked over to the bed and placed a blanket on Natsu. She sighed and sat on her bed.

"I really can't win with you, can I?" She mumbled as she reached for Natsu's hair. She hesitated. "Natsu looks cute when he sleeps..." she thought. She continued to reach for his hair and petted him, playing with his hair. Natsu looked like he liked it, from his expressions. Lucy giggled. "Natsu..." She whispered.

 She glanced at her left hand. The FairyTail mark. She remembered when she first met Natsu. The great Salamander... She couldn't believe he was the Salamander back then. But now, He is a hero. He protects everyone, the FairyTail guild is a big family. It's a warm and fun place. It's all thanks to Natsu, the one whom brought her into the family. Lucy was grateful to him, for all that he has done for her and for everyone.

 "Lucy...I promise.." Natsu mumbled. Lucy's eyes widened. She stared at the tear that left its natural spring from Natsu's eye. Lucy frowned. He must have remembered seeing the future Lucy die. He promised to protect her future. Lucy kissed Natsu's forehead. "Thank you.. Natsu." She closed her eyes and cried.

 Natsu really deeply cares for her. She can tell. She too cares for him, with all her heart. Maybe it's love? Maybe it's family love? It didn't matter to Lucy. As long as she is by his side, she is happy.

 Lucy laid down on the bed, holding Natsu's hand tightly as a sign of gratitude.

The next morning came, Happy was the first to wake up. "Well, well. What do we have here?" Happy said as he watched Lucy and Natsu sleep with hands intertwined. They both were having sweet dreams of each other. Natsu smiled. "Lucy..." He whispered as he went back into a deep sleep.

For these two, it was clear they had feelings for each other. But it may take some time  for them to face it. Let's just say...that they'll continue to have sweet moments... with each other...
